LifeQuote Disclaimer: Plain English, Please

Most of you probably skimmed the legalese and want a simple definition of what it means. Let’s start with the basics. A disclaimer is a statement that talks about responsibility for a particular action. Our disclaimer explains what our responsibility is when you use our website and what your responsibility is. Our LifeQuote disclaimer is pretty standard for the industry, which means we’re not asking any more or less than our competitors. There are 3 parts to our customer policy:

Part 1: LifeQuote Form Disclaimer

Because we use digital forms on our site to collect information from you, our client, we provide this LifeQuote form disclaimer. Our forms either: (1) collect information so we can provide you with a quote or answer your question, (2) collect information so we can provide you with our free life insurance guide, or (3) collect customer reviews. In all these cases, we may need to contact you. By filling out a form on this site, it’s your responsibility to understand that you’re giving us permission to call you at the number you provide. When it comes to life insurance, that’s the way it should work. We need to ask you some additional questions to make sure we’re providing you with an accurate quote. A few minutes on the phone with us could save you money, time, and hassle.

Part 2: LifeQuote Legal Disclaimer

Our LifeQuote legal disclaimer explains who we are, and what we will or won’t do. You know us as LifeQuote, which is a legal business name for Eugene C. Gordon. (You met him on our About Us page.) He’s an officially licensed life insurance agent in all 50 states, and appointed with any life insurance provider we quote.

Here are the relevant highlights for our LifeQuote legal disclaimer:

  • Quoted rates aren’t final rates, as discussed above.
  • When you submit an application request form through our site, we’ll call or email you to verify your information and collect the rest of the info needed to submit your application.
  • We will not share the personal information you provide - or any info provided by your health care professionals during the application process – without your permission.
  • Don’t cancel any existing life insurance until you: (a) make the first payment for your new policy and (b) complete any delivery requirements. Your agent will let you know what these are.
  • Our agents help you buy life insurance from national carriers. We are not an insurance company and the policies you buy are not our products.

Part 3: Financial Ratings

As mentioned above in our LifeQuote disclaimer, we provide insurance carriers’ financial ratings for educational purposes only. If you’re choosing a carrier, they may help you make a more educated decision. You may also see these ratings other places, such as on an insurance company’s product pages. But we don’t choose those ratings – that’s done by the A.M. Best organization. They issue and update ratings at their discretion. The rating reflects how well the company’s analysts feel the insurance carrier can meet their financial obligations. It doesn’t reflect anything else about the company, from their customer service to their customer policy. We provide these ratings as part of our LifeQuote customer policy to serve you as best we can.
